Our Sunday Evening Jazz Series has returned home to ROOM 43!

On Sunday, January 29th, we welcome drummer Charles Heath and his quartet! ROOM 43 - 1043 E. 43rd Street, Chicago Sundays from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. "ROOM 43... ...is one of the hippest places to spend a Sunday night!" - Howard Reich (Chicago Tribune) Sunday Evening Jazz Series Upcoming Schedule Sun. Jan. 29: Charles Heath Quartet Sun. Feb. 05: Closed for Superbowl Sunday! Sun. Feb. 12: Dee Alexander Quartet and Dee's Birthday Party... not to mention that this is our pre-Valentine's Day concert! Sun. Feb. 19: Pharez Whitted Sextet Sun. Feb. 26: Maggie Brown Quartet Hyde Park Jazz Society's Annual Black & White Night Sunday, January 8 at ROOM 43!! For our annual Black & White Night, we ask our patrons to dress in black, white, or black and white. To celebrate our homecoming, many of our patrons will be wearing evening attire. But the door charge remains a modest $10. And whatever your clothes, black jeans or black tie, we want you to celebrate our "re-opening night" with us. Our musical guest is the John Burnett Orchestra with vocalist Frieda Lee. WHAT A NIGHT! Thanks to everyone who supported our "ALL-STAR JAZZ JAM" !! Our fundraising concert was a great success! On behalf of the Hyde Park Jazz Society Board of Directors, thank you to everyone who helped, who attended, who donated. Without you, we could not keep this dream alive! If you wanted to donate, but didn't have the opportunity, come by on Sunday, check out the show, and leave a little extra as a donation - we accept cash and checks made payable to "Hyde Park Jazz Society".
